Dennis Hopson

Dennis Hopson has a diverse work experience in the field of basketball. Dennis is currently serving as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Lourdes University since May 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Director Of Basketball Operations at the YMCA of Greater Toledo from August 2017. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of innovative curriculum and activities for the Association's Youth Basketball Program Initiatives.

Before joining the YMCA, Dennis worked as the Community Outreach Coordinator at CTF from July 2015 to August 2017. Dennis also served as the Former Head Men's Basketball Coach at Bedford High School from August 2014 to April 2015.

Dennis has a strong background in coaching at the collegiate level as well. Dennis worked as the Former Assistant Coach at Bowling Green State University from September 2009 to June 2014. Prior to this, they served as an Assistant Coach at Northwood University from August 2007 to September 2009.

In addition to their collegiate coaching experience, Dennis also has served as an Assistant Coach for high school basketball teams. Dennis worked at Eastmoor Academy High School from 2006 to 2007 and at Northland High School from 2005 to 2006.

Earlier in their career, Dennis worked as an NBA Scout for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2003 and 2004.

Dennis Hopson attended Bowsher High School from 1979 to 1983, where they graduated with a degree in General Studies. Dennis then went on to The Ohio State University from 1984 to 1987, earning a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Sport and Leisure Studies. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education/Sports Leisure from The Ohio State University in 2005.
