Sam Franklin

Sam Franklin has extensive experience in the YMCA organization, with over 30 years of work experience. Sam started their career in the YMCA of Middle Tennessee as a Senior Program Director in 1991. In 1995, they moved to the YMCA of Greater Louisville and worked as an Associate Executive Director for two years. From 1997 to 2003, they served as the Executive Director of the YMCA of the Triangle, where they successfully established and grew the Lee County Branch. In 2003, they joined the YMCA of NWNC as the Vice President of Operations, a role they held for over 13 years. Currently, Sam is working at the YMCA of Greenville as the Chief Operating Officer. This role started in January 2017 and they have since been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer in April 2023.

Sam Franklin attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Public Relations/Image Management.
