Courtney Severson

Vice President Of Individual And Planned Giving at YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta

Courtney Severson has a diverse work experience primarily in the YMCA organization. Courtney has held various roles, starting in 2001 as a Membership Staff at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga. Courtney later served as the Membership Director at the East Jefferson Family YMCA in New Orleans in 2004. In 2005, they worked as a Young Professional at the World Alliance of YMCAs. From 2006 to 2008, they were the Director of Development at the YMCA of Greater New Orleans. Courtney then joined the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, where they worked as the Financial Development Director at the Carl E. Sanders Family YMCA from 2008 to 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they served as the Director of Annual Campaign Operations at the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Individual and Planned Giving at the same organization. Furthermore, they had a volunteering role at YUSA from 2007 to 2008.

Courtney Severson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities and International Studies from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 1999 to 2002. Courtney then pursued a Master of Science degree in International Development and Nonprofit Organizational Management at Tulane University from 2004 to 2007.
