Mark Syn, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in global real estate investment management. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at MFS Investment Management since October 2018, Mark also contributes as a Board Member on the Audit and Investment Committees at RAISE SG and as a Trustee at Latymer Upper School. Involved with community-oriented initiatives, Mark holds positions on the Advisory Council of YMCA of Singapore and previously participated in leadership roles within the Singapore Institute of Directors and People's Association. Mark's prior experience includes a decade at Wellington Management as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager in global real estate, along with an executive director position at Goldman Sachs overseeing Asia-Pacific real estate securities. Mark holds an MBA in Finance from London Business School and a Master of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London.

Established in 1902, the YMCA of Singapore is a volunteer-based Christian organisation that seeks to serve and impact all members of the community, regardless of race, language or religion, through programmes, services and enterprises to develop the body, mind and spirit. YMCA of Singapore aims to contribute towards developing the “heartware” for Singapore through its programme and service infrastructure, building a resilient and caring society through sustainable community engagement programmes and nurturing socially responsible community champions.
