Michel Tigan

Michel Tigan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2005, Michel served as the Executive Director at Community ACTION, Inc. until 2007. From 2008 to 2015, Michel was the St. Croix Valley Branch Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin. Concurrently, from 2004, Michel worked as a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor, teaching Vinyassa, Hot Power Fusion, Prenatal Yoga, Barre, and Sculpt. Additionally, from 2007, Michel became a DONA Certified Birth Doula. Michel's passion for yoga led to being a Yoga Instructor at Inspiring Actions, from 2009 to 2012. In 2015, Michel joined the YMCA of the North as Executive Director of YMCA Camp Icaghowan, then became the Executive Director of YMCA Camp Icaghowan and Camp St. Croix from 2020 to 2022. Most recently, in 2022, Michel assumed the role of Vice President of Operations at the YMCA of the North.

Michel Tigan attended Hudson High School from 1994 to 1997. In 1997, they enrolled in the University of St. Thomas, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, English with a technical writing emphasis, and Peace and Justice Studies. They completed their undergraduate education in 2001. Later, in 2004-2005, Michel pursued a Mini Master's degree in Nonprofit Business Management at the University of St. Thomas. At some point during their undergraduate years, Michel also briefly attended St. Catherine University.
