Steve Totten

Vice President Planned Giving & Major Gifts at YMCA San Diego

Steve Totten has extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector, primarily with the YMCA. Steve started their career as the Executive Director at the Copley Family YMCA in 1982 and held that position until 1987. Steve then moved on to become the Executive Director at the Palomar Family YMCA, where they served from 1987 to 2004. During their time at Palomar, Steve Totten was responsible for leading the organization and implementing various programs. In 2004, they joined the YMCA of San Diego County as the Vice President of Planned Giving & Major Gifts. In this role, they focused on securing significant donations and cultivating relationships with donors.

Steve Totten has a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University and a Master of Arts degree from Stanford University.
