Andres Tobon has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Andres started their career as a URSA Engage Student Researcher at the College of Engineering - Oregon State University, where they worked on enhancing the virtual reality environment for experiments using Python scripting. In 2021, they joined The Linux Foundation as a Student Software Developer, contributing to the development of an internal API for the upcoming Project Control Center tool. Andres utilized various tools and technologies such as AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Terraform, Docker, and Postman. Later, they joined the Oregon Department of Transportation as a Student Software Developer, where they modernized the Transportation Operations Center System using .NET 6. Currently, Andrés is working as a Software Engineer at The Linux Foundation, focusing on building the backend for Linux Foundation products, primarily the Project Control Center tool, using technologies like Go, AWS Serverless, Terraform, Docker, Postman, and OpenAPI.

Andres Tobon completed their high school education at Southridge High School from 2015 to 2019. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Oregon State University from 2019 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Front-End Web Development with React and Server-side Development with NodeJS, Express, and MongoDB from Coursera in September 2020.
