Linux System Administrator Trainee at Yocto Project

Gregory Amaefule has worked as a Technical Lead at Google Developer Student Clubs since July 2022. Gregory is currently a Linux System Administrator Trainee at The Linux Foundation, where they are learning how to administer, configure, and upgrade Linux systems. Gregory has also held the position of Chair at IEEE Power & Energy Society from January 2022 to February 2023. In addition, Gregory completed a Data Structures & Algorithm Bootcamp at Microsoft ADC & NACOS in May 2022, where they gained mastery in designing and analyzing algorithms and learned about common algorithms, algorithmic paradigms, and data structures used in problem-solving.

Gregory Amaefule began their education at Claret Academy Secondary School in Owerri, Nigeria. The specific dates of their enrollment and the field of study are not provided. After completing their secondary education, Gregory enrolled at the Federal University of Technology Owerri in Nigeria in 2018. Gregory pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2024.

In 2022, Gregory attended the Cisco Networking Academy for a short period to study and obtain certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate. Additionally, they participated in a bootcamp titled "Frontend Engineering" at Frontend Masters in the same year.

In terms of additional certifications, Gregory obtained several certifications in the field of programming and web development. Gregory completed the "JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures" certification through freeCodeCamp in February 2023. In January 2023, they obtained certifications in "JSE 1: JavaScript Essentials 1," "Networking Essentials," and "PCAP: Programming Essentials in Python" from the Cisco Networking Academy. Prior to these, in March 2022, they obtained a certification in "Responsive Web Design" from freeCodeCamp.
