Maria Barone has a diverse work experience in the yoga industry. Maria began their career as a Yoga Teacher at Uptown Yoga Dallas in 2011, where they taught until 2016. In 2010, they also worked as an Educator at lululemon athletica. Maria then joined CorePower Yoga in 2014, where they held various roles including Studio Manager, Area Lead, and Yoga Instructor. Maria worked at CorePower Yoga until 2018. Since 2019, Maria has been employed at Yoga Alliance, initially working as a Credentialing Specialist before being promoted to Credentialing Team Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Community Learning & Education.
Maria Barone completed a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in 2009. Maria also has additional certifications in customer loyalty, building rapport with customers, de-escalating intense situations, maximizing productivity using Microsoft Teams and Outlook, developing adaptability as a manager, humble inquiry, and managing emotions at work, all obtained in 2021 through LinkedIn.
