Karthik Rammohan has extensive work experience in various roles within Yokogawa, Yokogawa Canada Inc, Yokogawa Corporation of America, and the University of Texas at Arlington. Karthik started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Arlington, where they worked on a team project to develop a virtual reality trainer for laparoscopic surgery.
In 2003, Karthik joined Yokogawa Corporation of America as a Control Systems Engineer, where they worked on multiple phases of the Shell NORCO Re-instrumentation Project. Karthik was responsible for FEED, Basic Design, Detailed Design, Implementation, Acceptance Testing, Commissioning, and Hot-Cutover phases. Karthik also led the DCS team and managed a team of engineers to deliver quality project deliverables.
From 2005 to 2007, Karthik continued working on the Shell NORCO Re-instrumentation Project as a Control Systems Engineer II, where they conducted P&ID reviews with customers and played a key role in commissioning.
In 2007, Karthik became an Applications Engineer at Yokogawa Corporation of America, where they took on the role of DCS Lead Engineer on the Shell NORCO Re-instrumentation Project Phase III. Karthik managed a team of engineers and oversaw project scheduling, survey, procurement, detailed design, system architecture, subsystem interfaces, HMI engineering, and DCS configuration.
In 2010, Karthik joined Yokogawa Canada Inc as an Engineering Lead for the CPC Surmont 2 project, which involved ~30,000 I/O Expansion. Karthik was responsible for developing and approving detailed System Architecture and various design specifications.
In 2013, Karthik was promoted to Engineering Manager at Yokogawa Canada Inc. Karthik held this position until 2014 when they joined Yokogawa as a Project Manager. As a Project Manager, they successfully delivered projects and managed life-cycle contracts, projects, and on-demand services in the Eastern US.
In 2018, Karthik took on the role of Regional Service Manager at Yokogawa, where they were responsible for promoting growth by evaluating and developing business opportunities. Karthik engaged with customers during the sales phase, managed scope changes and contract negotiations, and oversaw the delivery of services.
In 2019, Karthik became the Director of Proposals at Yokogawa, where they led the development of proposals and played a key role in shaping the company's project delivery strategy.
Finally, in May 2022, Karthik was promoted to the position of Director of Project Delivery at Yokogawa, where they currently hold the role.
Karthik Rammohan completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication at the University of Madras from 1996 to 2000. Karthik then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington from 2000 to 2002.
