York Capital Management
Bill is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of the Firm. He is a Co-Portfolio Manager of the York Credit Opportunities, York Distressed Asset, York Global Credit Income, York Insurance Dedicated and York Tactical Energy funds and a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2002, Bill worked as a Portfolio Manager at Georgica Advisors specializing in media and communications equities and distressed securities. He also worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.
Bill is a member of the Board of Directors, advising on matters related to all entities related to York’s partnerships with Costamare, Inc., and of Next Decade, Entropy Investments, Nebraska Wind LLC, and India 2020. Additionally, Bill is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Museum of the City of New York, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Groton School and a member of the Investment Committee of the Dartmouth College Endowment. Bill holds a BA in English from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
