John De Faveri

John De Faveri is an experienced education leader currently serving as the Interim Director of Education at York Catholic District School Board since February 2024. John has held various leadership roles, including President and Vice President at Aurora Cultural Centre since June 2021, and has served as Past Chair and Chair of the Board of Directors at Georgina Trades Training Inc. between 2017 and 2022. With a background that includes the role of Director of Education at Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board and Superintendent positions at both Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board and York Catholic District School Board, John possesses extensive expertise in educational administration. John holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Brock University and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Toronto.
