Phil McFadden

Phil McFadden has extensive experience in copywriting and content management. Phil most recently worked as the Copy Director at York & Chapel starting in April 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Copywriter at OVO from March 2021 to April 2022. Phil also held multiple roles at York & Chapel, including Lead Copywriter from March 2020 to October 2021, and Senior Copywriter from March 2018 to March 2020. Before that, Phil worked as a Copywriter at RPM Ltd from January 2017 to December 2017. Phil also gained experience as a Copywriter at Moonpig.com from July 2015 to December 2016, and at OLIVER UK as a Copywriter and Content Manager on a contract basis from January 2015 to July 2015. Phil's early career included a role as a Copywriter at Just-Eat Group from January 2013 to January 2015.

Phil McFadden attended St Peter’s RC School and Sixth Form College from 2005 to 2007, where they pursued A Levels in English Literature, Theatre Studies, and History. Phil then went on to study at the University of St Andrews from 2008 to 2012, earning an MA (Hons) degree in English. In addition to their academic qualifications, Phil obtained certifications in Advanced Copywriting Skills and Principles of Great Copywriting from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2014.
