James Grierson is an experienced professional with a robust background in governance and advisory roles. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees for YORK UNLOCKED CIO and Chairman of the York Museums Trust, Grierson also holds positions as a Council Member at Durham University and an Advisory Board Member for Locomotion within the Science Museum Group. With a longstanding commitment to conservation, Grierson is a Trustee and Secretary for the York Foundation for Conservation & Craftsmanship and formerly served as Trustee and Vice Chair for LionHeart RICS. Grierson’s leadership capabilities are further exemplified by experience as Chair of the Institute of Conservation and as a Strategic Advisor to Savills. Academically, Grierson has pursued advanced studies at Harvard Business School, holds an MBA from the University of Bradford, and a degree in Land Economy from the University of Aberdeen.
