Karen Ruoff Brown has extensive experience in property management and asset management services. Karen served as the Sr. Vice President of Property Management at York Properties starting in May 2016. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Property Management at the same company starting in September 2012. Karen was responsible for strategic planning, operations management, business development, client relations, and customer service for a large mixed-use portfolio with a focus on retail properties in central and eastern North Carolina.

Before joining York Properties, Karen held the position of President of Asset Management Services at Coldwell Banker Commercial Trademark Properties from August 2007 to February 2012. In this role, they oversaw the strategic planning, policies and procedures, operations management, business development, client relations, and customer service for the commercial management department of a full-service real estate company. Karen managed a portfolio of 2.0 million square feet of various types of properties in central and eastern North Carolina.

Karen also worked as a Senior Property Manager at CBRE from April 2006 to June 2007. In this position, they provided management services for a single institutional investment owner (RREEF) and supervised a team of professionals and maintenance technicians. The properties they managed included 4.0 million square feet of warehouse and industrial properties located in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Karen Ruoff Brown attended James Madison University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Business.
