David Hodgins has a diverse work experience starting in 2002 as a Coordinator at the City of Toronto and ending in 2023 as the Head of Policy, Communications, and Liaison at York Region. In between, they held various roles such as Program Manager, Strategic Performance Optimization, Policy & Project Specialist, Policy Analyst, and Strategy & Business Support Coordinator. David also worked as a Parliamentary Assistant for the Government of Canada, a Records Assistant at Enbridge, a Consultant at Investors Group Financial Services Inc., a Teaching Assistant at McMaster University, and provided additional administrative assistance at North Toronto Soccer Club.
David Hodgins completed their education at two institutions. From 2004 to 2009, they attended York University, where they pursued an Honours B.A. degree in International Studies and Political Science. Following this, from 2010 to 2011, they continued their studies at McMaster University, earning a Masters degree in International Relations. In addition to their academic achievements, David also obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2016, they completed a certificate program in Process Management at Excellence Canada. Furthermore, in February 2020, they obtained a Workplace Mental Health Leadership Certificate from Queen's University.
