Kavitharan Tharumakulasingam

Kavitharan Tharumakulasingam has worked in various roles related to health and safety. From 2017, they worked at York Region as a Health and Safety Specialist, providing advice and guidance to management, conducting assessments, and facilitating training sessions. Prior to that, they worked at Canada Revenue Agency as an Occupational Health and Safety Officer, where they provided advice and guidance to management, reviewed OHS programs, and created reports. Kavitharan also has experience as an Environmental Health and Safety Officer and Chemical Administrator at Toronto Research Chemicals, and as a Laboratory Assistant at Impopharma Inc. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at Ryerson University.

Kavitharan Tharumakulasingam, CRSP, BSc has a diverse educational background in various fields. In 2011, they obtained a TESL Canada Diploma from the International House Toronto - SOL group of career colleges. This diploma focused on teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL language instruction. Following this, in 2013 to 2014, they pursued an OHS Certification in Occupational Health and Safety from Ryerson University.

Additionally, Kavitharan has obtained several certifications in the field of safety. In 2012, they attained the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Member certification from the Ministry of Labour. Furthermore, they became a Candian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) in December 2017, certified by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. These additional certifications showcase their commitment to ensuring safety in various environments.
