Sema Ekici

Sema Ekici is a Human Resources Coordinator at York Region since May 2019, previously serving as an HR Administration Clerk in the same organization. Sema has experience in screening resumes, conducting initial candidate screenings, and creating a competency-based question bank. Prior to the current role, Sema held positions at The Body Shop as a Keyholder, at Starbucks as a Barista, at Gap as a Sales Associate, and at Canada's Wonderland as an Assistant Accountant. Sema's educational background includes a degree in Human Resource Management from George Brown College and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies and Philosophy from the University of Toronto, along with a Korean Language program completion certificate from The Catholic University of Korea.
