Simon Purkiss

Simon Purkiss has a range of experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in fundraising and supporter engagement. Simon'smost recent role was as the Head of Supporter Engagement at Young Epilepsy, where they worked to improve the lives of children and young people with epilepsy and related conditions through advocating for positive change in society. Prior to that, Simon served as a Trustee for The Brigstowe Project, a charity supporting individuals living with HIV, contributing to the strategic direction and leadership of the organization. Simon also worked as the Individual Giving Manager at CLIC Sargent, where they implemented individual giving strategies, focused on digital approaches, to generate sustainable income. Simon has held various other fundraising roles, including Individual Giving & Legacy Manager at Above & Beyond Charity and Regional Fundraising Coordinator at St Mungo's. Simon has also worked as a Direct Marketing Fundraiser and Fundraising and Communications Administrator at Brandon Trust, achieving significant increases in voluntary income and donor retention. Simon's experience also includes engagement work at the North Somerset Local Involvement Network. Overall, Simon has a proven track record of successfully managing fundraising programs and driving engagement with supporters in the non-profit sector.

Simon Purkiss obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science in International Relations and Development Studies from the University of Sussex between 2004 and 2007.
