Chris Coleman

Chris Coleman, CMIP, has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Chris is currently the President of Young Professionals in Yachting USA, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, Chris served as the Vice President of the same organization from January 2020 to January 2023.

Before their involvement in the yachting industry, Chris was the Director of Commercial Marine, CMIP at Oversea Insurance Agency from August 2017 to the present. Chris holds various licenses in insurance, including Series 1-20, 2-15 & 2-20, FL License - #W263984, CA License - #0M15597, GA License - #3230171, NY Surplus Lines - #EX-1775746-L, and Hawaii License - #17631553. Chris joined Risk Strategies Company as a Commercial Marine & Yacht Insurance Agent from August 2016 to July 2017.

Chris also has experience in the field of commercial insurance. Chris worked as a Commercial Insurance Agent at The John Galt Insurance Agency from June 2015 to August 2016.

In addition, Chris has held roles in sales and marketing. Chris was an Inside Sales Representative at DataCore Software from June 2014 to June 2015, where they focused on storage virtualization platforms. Prior to that, they served as the Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast region at Xtreme Brands, the largest student tour operator in the US, from April 2012 to January 2014.

Early in their career, Chris gained experience in the media industry. Chris was the Executive Programming Director and Radio DJ at WRUF-FM/Rock104.com from July 2008 to May 2011.

Chris Coleman, CMIP, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Production from the University of Florida, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. In addition to their degree, Chris has obtained various certifications in insurance and related fields. These certifications include Insurance Producer, Excess Line Broker, and Insurance Agent, among others. Their most recent certification is the Insurance Producer [Non-Resident] obtained from the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs in 2023.
