Joakim Karske

Joakim Karske is the CEO of Design Forum Finland since November 2021, leading a not-for-profit organization focused on helping Finnish SMEs utilize design for competitive advantage and transition to a circular economy. Karske holds multiple board positions, including membership on the boards of directors for Younite-AI, LähiTapiola, and Saka, the latter recognized for its customer experience in modern car retail. Karske also chairs the board of Helkama Velox Oy, a leading e-bike brand in the Nordics, and previously served on the board of Nixu Corporation until its acquisition in 2023, as well as having advisory roles at Sinituote and Business Finland. Karske's background includes significant experience in brand and customer experience at hasan & partners and membership in the Suomalaisen Työn Liitto, promoting Finnish work value. Karske earned a Master's degree in Industrial Design from Aalto University and has studied at ArtCenter College of Design and the University of Turku.
