Mike F. has a wide range of experience in various roles and industries. From 1998 to 2001, they worked at Steria as a Web Developer and Technical Consultant, where they led a team in redesigning and merging company websites and developed service and information websites using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP, and VBScript. Mike also worked on SAP implementations for large companies using the ABAP programming language.

From 2001 to 2006, Mike was employed by Sony Professional Solutions Europe as a Web Developer, System Analyst, and later as the Local Applications Team Manager. As a Team Manager, they managed a team of ASP.Net web developers and database administrators.

Afterwards, from 2007 to 2008, they served as a Business Systems Analyst at Townsville City Council, capturing and documenting business requirements and undertaking technical planning for system development projects.

From 2008 to 2011, at Osmotion Pty Ltd, Mike worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer and Project Manager, implementing and customizing software products for mining and construction projects. Agile methodologies were used to develop database-driven web-based software.

Additionally, from 2011 to 2013, they were the Database/Software Development Manager at Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science, where they oversaw a global data sharing initiative and was responsible for requirements gathering, programming, testing, and deployment of a geospatial data portal.

Mike then worked at UNESCO from 2013 to 2014 as the OBIS Data Manager, improving a system used to combine distributed datasets into a central database. Mike'smain achievement was the analysis and improvement of this system.

Currently, they are the Vice President of Research and Development at Youredi, where they lead the R&D team in developing and maintaining an Azure Cloud-based Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS). Mike is heavily involved in DevOps and is responsible for building the company development team and implementing Agile operational processes and practices in software development and testing.

Mike F. completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours degree at the University of Liverpool from 1992 to 1995. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree at the University of Southampton for the academic year 1995-1996.
