Jon Sabes

Jon Sabes is the current CEO of YouSurance. Jon has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of GWG Holdings, Inc. from January 2006 to May 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the well-being of all the constituents of the Company. Jon also led the innovation and strategy around the commercial development of our insurance technology subsidiaries YouSurance and Life Epigenetics. Prior to their role at GWG Holdings, Inc., Jon Sabes served as a corporate tax consultant with Ernst & Young from April 1997 to May 1998. Jon also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Opportunity Finance, LLC from September 2000 to September 2008. In this role, they were responsible for a family investment company specializing in structured finance, organizing and structuring over $250 million in financing commitments for the business. Prior to their roles at Ernst & Young and Opportunity Finance, LLC, Jon Sabes served as a partner at Jon Adams Financial, LLC from May 1998 to August 2000 and as the Vice President of Business Development at Gaming Corporation of America from September 1991 to August 1994. Jon began their career in the financial industry as an institutional trader at Jefferies & Company from May 1989 to September 1991.

Jon Sabes received a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from University of Minnesota Law School, a Bachelor's degree in Economics from University of Colorado Boulder, and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Taxation from University of Colorado Boulder.
