Torrence Hinton

Board Member at Youth Guidance

Torrence Hinton is currently an officer on the BAM Advisory Council and co-chair at Youth Guidance. Prior to this, Hinton worked as the Director of Gas Storage at WEC Energy Group from February 2019 to June 2021. In this role, they were responsible for setting the strategic direction of natural gas storage operations, including the development of consistent operational practices. Torrence also oversaw multiple facilities within the Midwest.

From January 2015 to February 2019, Hinton served as the Director of Operations & Maintenance at Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas companies. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of operational strategies and business plans related to operations and maintenance activities on the gas distribution system. Torrence also directed the execution of day-to-day operations within the city of Chicago, including field service and distribution tasks, as well as cathodic protection, system integrity, meter reading and other related business functions.

Torrence Hinton has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Master of Science from University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science from Illinois Institute of Technology. Torrence is also certified from McKinsey & Company in Black Executive Leadership Program.
