Melissa Namara is an Executive Assistant at [Youth In Diaspora](/org/youth-in-diaspora). Melissa has also worked as an Administrative Assistant Client Service Coordinator at Fairmont Royal York. Melissa has a passion for helping others and providing solutions. Melissa is constantly looking for ways to improve the lives of those around her.

Melissa Namara's educational career includes completing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at [Niagara College](/org/niagara-college) in the field of international business.

Efe Ogolo is the current Head of Data and Strategy at [Youth In Diaspora](/org/youth-in-diaspora). Prior to this, they were a Data Scientist at [HelloFresh](/org/hellofresh), a Commercial Management Associate at [Canadian Western Bank](/org/canadian-western-bank), and a Data Analytics Consultant at Nourished Babe.

Efe has always been passionate about data and analytics and has used their skills to help organizations optimize their pricing models, create employee attrition models, and launch product recommendation engines. In 2018, they won the WIGgy award for their Price Rounding initiative and in February 2019, they won the Going the Distance Award for their Recommendation Engine project.

Efe has helped build the foundation for data science capabilities and maturity at each of the organizations they have worked for and is continuing to do so at [Youth In Diaspora](/org/youth-in-diaspora).

Efe Ogolo completed a Master of Science (MSc.) in Business Analytics at the [Ivey Business School](/org/ivey) at [Western University](/org/western-university). Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at the [University of Alberta](/org/university-of-alberta).

Their manager is Emikele Oseni-Elamah, Head Of Canada. Efe Ogolo works with Yahaya Alphonse - Head of Canada, Esther Mustapha - Chief of Staff.

Yahaya Alphonse is currently the Head of Canada at [Youth In Diaspora](/org/youth-in-diaspora). Prior to this, they were a Fellow at Developing Young Leaders of Tomorrow, Today (DYLOTT) from March 2022 to August 2022. Yahaya has also worked as a Graduate Assistant at the [University of Windsor](/org/university-of-windsor) from September 2021 to May 2022, where they assisted the professor in communicating to students and relaying students' questions. Alphonse has also worked as a Journalist at Core Middle East from July 2021 to September 2021, where they wrote articles on key issues and developed their writing and research skills. Additionally, they have worked as a Consultant at UNICEF from December 2020 to January 2021, and as a Young Diplomat at GLOBAL DIPLOMATIC FORUM from July 2019 to July 2019.

Yahaya Alphonse received their Master of Arts in Political Science (International Relations and Global Politics) from the [University of Windsor](/org/university-of-windsor). Yahaya also has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Hons) from [Algoma University](/org/algoma-university) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from [Algoma University](/org/algoma-university). Yahaya Alphonse has a High School Diploma from Southern Ontario College.
