Michael Pope

Michael Pope is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in youth advocacy and reentry matters. Since 2010, Michael has served in various leadership roles at Youth Represent, including Executive Director, Interim Executive Director, and Legal Director, where responsibilities include representing youth in criminal, civil, housing, and family court issues. As an Equal Justice Works Fellow, Michael founded the “Community Youth Reentry Project,” focusing on proactive legal support for indigent youth confronting challenges after criminal accusations. Prior experience includes internships at The Bronx Defenders, Legal Aid Society, and Brooklyn Defender Services, along with a judicial internship at the U.S. District Court. Michael holds a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Columbia Business School.
