Laura Cunningham is an undergraduate student at The University of British Columbia pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with experience in various research and health initiatives. Currently, Laura is an Undergraduate Summer Research Student at the BC Injury Research and Prevention Unit, working under Dr. Ian Pike's mentorship. Previous experiences include roles as an Undergraduate Research Student at Harborview Medical Center, where research focused on equine-related trauma, and at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, assessing breech delivery safety. Laura has also participated as a Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Alumna, Shad Ambassador, and Shad Fellow, and completed a virtual internship with Child Family Health International in Ghana, exploring public health challenges. Additionally, Laura engaged in microgravity experiment design for BLUE ORIGIN and has completed courses in global health and psychological first aid.
