Bahman Rabii is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in the tech industry, currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at YouTube since April 2019. Prior to this role, Bahman held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Google from October 2005 to April 2019, leading various initiatives within the Google Ads engineering team, particularly focused on Display Ads and ad performance enhancement through machine learning and optimization strategies. Earlier in the career, Bahman was an Applications Engineer at Jasper Design Automation, specializing in formal functional verification tools for digital circuit designs, and a researcher in observational cosmology at UC Berkeley, where development of a high-altitude telescope for studying Cosmic Background Radiation anisotropy was undertaken. Bahman holds a PhD in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
