Katy Strong

Katy Strong is an accomplished design and UX leader with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as Head of Design at YouTube since October 2022, Katy manages a distributed UX team focused on integrating generative AI capabilities for creators. Prior to this role, Katy was Head of UX Design & Research at Google, overseeing teams for Google Stadia and building cloud-based interactive streaming platforms. Katy's experience also includes leadership positions at Oculus VR, Facebook, and various freelance endeavors, contributing significant expertise in content strategy and user experience design. With a dual Bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Composition and French Language and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, Katy has a solid educational foundation supporting a successful career in design and communications.
