Carlos L.

Carlos L. has a diverse background in software engineering and technology research. Carlos has worked for YouView TV Limited as both a Software Engineer and a Software Engineer Contractor, where they focused on building and supporting tools, microservices, and infrastructure for the company's cloud-based services and set top box devices. Carlos has experience with technologies such as C++, React, Typescript, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and Ansible.

Prior to their work at YouView TV Limited, Carlos worked at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias as a Software Team Leader and a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of adaptive optics and camera instruments for the Gran Telescopio de Canarias. Carlos also had a technology research fellowship at the Canarian Astrophysic Institute, where they developed a distributed control system using CORBA middleware.

Carlos has teaching experience as well, serving as an Assistant Teacher at Universidad La Laguna for several years. Carlos also had a university fellowship at Universidad Politécnica Cataluña, where they focused on computer architecture.

Carlos L. completed their Master's degree in Software Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which lasted from 1992 to 1998. Carlos then pursued Ph.D. studies and obtained a Diploma de Estudios Avanzados from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. from 2007 to 2008. In 2000 and 2001, Carlos pursued postgraduate studies in Project Management (Gestión Proyectos Informáticos) at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Additionally, in 1998, Carlos was an Erasmus student at Université catholique de Louvain, where they studied Computer Science.
