Mike Lowe

Mike Lowe has a solid and diverse work experience in the field of software testing and engineering. Mike started their career at Amstrad as a Test Engineer in 2005 and worked there until 2008. In 2009, they joined Sky as a Software Test Engineer, focusing on non-functional, automated stress testing of software on set-top boxes. Mike later became a Test Lead at Sky, where they expanded their responsibilities to include maintenance testing and defect investigations. In 2013, Mike joined YouView TV Limited as a Test Analyst, progressively advancing to Test Engineer, Senior Test Engineer, and eventually Lead Test Engineer. Throughout their career, Mike has been involved in various aspects of test planning, resource allocation, and test execution. Mike is experienced in using tools like JIRA for defect management and has demonstrated skills in communication and coordination with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Mike Lowe attended St Martin's School from 1998 to 2003. Mike then went on to Palmers College from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained an AVCE (double award)/A Level in ICT/Geography. Following this, Mike attended the University of Bradford from 2006 to 2009 and earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Computer Animation and Special Effects.

In terms of additional certifications, Mike obtained the ISEB-ISTQB-BCS Foundation certification from QA in 2010. Mike then obtained the Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing from QA in 2012. Finally, Mike achieved the ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level - Technical Test Analyst certification from iSQI GmbH in 2015.
