Diego Merlo

Diego Merlo has extensive experience in strategic planning and project management within the energy sector, currently serving as the Gerente Planificación Estratégica y Nuevos Negocios Upstream Convencional at YPF SA since November 2013. In this role, Diego has led key initiatives, including the establishment of the company's lithium strategy and business plan, and previously managed production engineering and strategic planning efforts. Earlier, Diego held positions at Transportadora De Gas Del Sur S.A. focusing on project coordination and technical analysis, and gained experience in project execution at Ericsson and agricultural administration. Diego holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional and a postgraduate degree in Oil and Gas Economics from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires.
