Teresa Santana

Chief Geophysicist at YPF

Teresa Santana has over 30 years of work experience in the field of geophysics. Teresa began their career as a Geophysical Assistant Exploration at Calcagno y Asociados in 1988. Teresa then worked as a Development Geophysicist at CADIPSA for three years before joining Shell in 1992. At Shell, Teresa worked as a Seismic Interpreter Exploration and Production and later as a NOV and NBD Geophysicist. Teresa also held roles as a Senior Exploration Geophysicist & Team Leader, Reservoir Geophysicist EP Europe, and Senior Quantitative Interpretation Geophysicist. In 2011, Teresa joined YPF as the Geophysics Leader for Subsurface Integrated Studies and later became the Chief Geophysicist. Additionally, they served as an Advisor in Geophysics and the Diversity Officer.

Teresa Santana has a Diploma in Geophysics from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, which they obtained from 1983 to 1988. In 1981, they also obtained a First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge. Additionally, they completed the Management Development Program at IAE Business School in 2021 and the Ontological Coaching program at Newfield Consulting in 2016.
