Ryan's previous experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineer at Itron, where they contributed to the maintenance and enhancement of a smart grid management system, and at BD, where they developed software for a robotic arm and other hardware used in cervical cancer screening.
Additionally, Ryan has worked at GE as a Software Engineer, contributing to the design and development of software for digital video borescopes. Ryan also worked as a Software Developer at Navisite and was self-employed as a Web Site Developer.

Ryan Laytham completed their education in Computer Science and Computer Art. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Oneonta, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Binghamton University, where they studied from 2004 to 2005.
