Senior User Experience Designer at Yubico

Blake Henson has a diverse work experience in the fields of user experience design, interaction design, web development, teaching, and research.

Starting in 2015, Henson worked as an intern at University Graphic Systems. In 2016, Henson completed an internship at The Dot Corp, where they gained experience in processing accounts and shadowed multiple positions within the company.

In 2018, Henson became a freelance web developer, focusing on designing and implementing new websites to enhance user experience and accessibility. They also worked as a UX research assistant at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they were a key member of a research group developing a digital design tool.

Henson joined Apero Day in 2018, taking on various roles including web developer, packaging designer, and consultant. They developed the startup's Shopify website and created packaging labels for new products.

In 2019, Henson started working at Trilogy Education as a teaching assistant for a UX/UI boot camp, assisting students and faculty in learning and applying design principles.

From 2019 to 2021, Henson worked at Rhythm as an interaction designer, responsible for creating marketing designs, responsive web designs, and solving UX challenges.

Currently, Henson is working at Yubico as a senior user experience designer, leveraging their skills and experience to enhance the user experience of Yubico's products and services.

Throughout their various roles, Henson has demonstrated skills in team collaboration, communication, time management, and utilizing UX methodologies such as prototyping, user interviews, and storyboarding.

Blake Henson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Information Technology and Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2014 to 2018. In addition, they pursued Web and Digital Media, Marketing, and Game Design courses at Stuttgart Media University starting in 2017, with no specified ending year. Prior to their university education, they attended Corona del Mar High School from 2010 to 2014.
