Rowan Spazzoli

Rowan Spazzoli is the Founder and Director of Accendio, an economic development consultancy based in Cape Town, focusing on entrepreneurial ecosystem development and innovative finance for social enterprises. In addition, Rowan co-leads the Reckitt Fight for Access Accelerator in Nigeria and manages the South Africa program, supporting social entrepreneurs in improving access to water, sanitation, and hygiene. As an Advisory Board Member for the Mercedes-Benz Fellowship, Rowan aids young innovators in realizing planet-positive projects. Rowan also co-founded Phaphama SEDI, which conducts business development programs, and serves as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Cape Town, teaching several postgraduate courses. Additional roles include Programme Manager for the Oxford "Map the System" Challenge at the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation, non-executive director at MariHealth Solutions, and co-founder of LoadALot, contributing to various initiatives aimed at enhancing economic opportunities and social impact. Rowan holds a Master's and Post Graduate Diploma from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Business Science.
