Ziad Maalouf

Ziad Maalouf has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ziad started their career as an RF Planning and Optimization Engineer at France Telecom Mobiles Liban in 2000. After that, they worked as the Head of Radio Planning Unit at FALDETE telecommunications (Alfa) from 2004 to 2007, where they led a BSS modernization project resulting in improved network KPIs and faster data services.

In 2007, Ziad joined Alfa-MIC1 as the Head of Radio Engineering Department. In this role, they led the preparation and execution of various projects, including the launch of HSPA+ services, network expansion to accommodate subscriber growth and new frequency bands, and a network optimization project. Ziad also handled RFP formulation, supplier evaluation, budget estimation, and project requirements.

From 2011 to 2013, Ziad worked as a Projects Manager at Meatel and as a Technical Manager at Cedarcom - Mobi. During their time at Cedarcom - Mobi, they managed the technical team and led network expansion activities to meet increasing capacity demand. Ziad also re-planned the company's transmission backbone network to comply with regulatory requirements.

Ziad's next role was at Digicel Group from 2013 to 2016, where they served as a RAN and Rollout Manager. Ziad was responsible for leading the RAN department and the Rollout department, overseeing activities related to Radio Access, Transmission, Site Acquisition, and Fiber Optics. Ziad successfully executed projects such as Fiber to the Business, core modernization, and RAN network modernization.

Currently, Ziad is working at Yupana LLC as a Cluster Rollout Manager, starting in 2016. Further information about their roles and responsibilities in this role is not provided.

Ziad Maalouf's education history begins with earning an Electrical and Electronics Engineering Diploma from Al-Jâmi'ah Al-Lubnaniya between 1992 and 1997. Subsequently, Ziad pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Wales, Cardiff, spanning the years 2007 to 2012.
