Essence Williams, MHA, BSN, CPC, CRC

Essence Williams has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Essence is currently the Head of Risk Adjustment at Yuvo, a position they started in May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at WellMed Medical Management for several years, where they held various positions. From February 2020 to April 2022, they served as the Sr. Director of Clinical Data Operations. Before that, they were the Director of Clinical Data Operations from October 2017 to February 2020, and earlier, they worked as the Manager of Clinical Data Operations from December 2015 to October 2017. Their time at WellMed also included a role as a Clinical Coding Nurse Consultant from September 2014 to December 2015.

Before joining WellMed, Essence worked at Humana as a Care Coordinator from February 2014 to September 2014. Prior to that, they were a Case Management Nurse at Centene Corporation from May 2013 to February 2014. Essence began their career at Tampa General Hospital, where they worked as a Critical Care Registered Nurse from November 2007 to May 2013.

Essence Williams has an extensive education history in the healthcare field. Essence obtained an Associate of Science in Registered Nursing from Saint Petersburg College in 2004, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the same institution in 2009. In 2013, they attained a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Ashford University.

In addition to their academic achievements, Essence also holds several certifications. Essence is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and a Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), both obtained from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Furthermore, they are a Registered Nurse, holding a certification from the State of Florida Department of Health.
