Whitney Bawel

Whitney Bawel, CFRE, currently serves as the Senior Development Officer for Major Gifts and Planned Giving at YWCA Calgary since April 2021. Previously, Whitney held multiple roles at Mount Royal University from December 2011 to April 2021, progressing from Fund Development Assistant to Annual Giving Officer. Additional experience includes working as an IRD Cashier/Coordinator at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and as Membership Coordinator at CauseForce, LLC. Whitney began a career in fundraising at the University of Guelph in Alumni Affairs & Development, serving in various capacities from October 2006 to February 2010. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts Honors in History from the University of Guelph and several professional development certificates, including a Management Development Extension Certificate and the AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course.
