Hewan Schade

Hewan Schade currently serves as the Children’s Services Program Manager at YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish since June 2023, while also fulfilling the role of Youth Advocate. As the CEO and Founder of Negisti’s Haven since September 2020, Hewan has demonstrated strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Previous experience includes mentoring at Community for Youth, functioning as the Student Engagement Lead Associate at Save the Children Action Network, and volunteering as a Helpline Advocate at the Rape Crisis Center. Additionally, Hewan held fellowships with the Muslim Public Service Network and gained valuable experience in tax preparation at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. Educational qualifications encompass a Certificate Level M.A. in Social Innovation & Sustainability Leadership and a degree in Sustainability and Global Justice from Edgewood College, complemented by entrepreneurial training through various programs.
