Charlie Zhang

Charlie Zhang has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Charlie is currently the Vice President of BioMetrics at Zai Lab, a position they have held since April 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of BioMetrics at Zai Lab from September 2018 to August 2019.

Before joining Zai Lab, Charlie worked at Five Prime Therapeutics, Inc. as a Director from April 2016 to August 2018. Prior to that, they held positions as a Director at BioMarin from April 2012 to January 2016, and at Exelixis from January 2010 to April 2012.

Charlie began their career in the biotechnology industry at Amgen, where they served as a Sr. Manager from 2003 to 2010. Prior to joining Amgen, they worked as a Senior Statistician at Biogen from January 1999 to February 2003.

Before transitioning to the biotechnology industry, Charlie worked as a Research Statistician at FICO from May 1996 to November 1998. Charlie also served as a Research Statistician at the University of California, Los Angeles from September 1995 to April 1996.

Charlie Zhang received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from the University of Science and Technology of China from 1984 to 1989. Charlie then went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biostatistics at UCLA from 1990 to 1996.
