Bob Liang

Bob Liang serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Zai since April 2024, bringing extensive experience in compliance and legal management from prominent institutions. Previously, Bob held the role of Head of Compliance, Australia New Zealand & MLRO at Nium from October 2022 to May 2024, and worked as a Senior Compliance Manager at Westpac, focusing on consumer insurance risk and regulatory projects, from August 2020 to November 2022. Bob's career also includes positions at the New Payments Platform as Legal Counsel and Company Compliance Manager, Commonwealth Bank as Manager of External Dispute Resolution, and HD Mining as Chief Legal Officer, contributing to compliance and governance. Additional experiences encompass senior roles at Macquarie Group and the NSW Ombudsman, along with analytical work at ASIC. Bob holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from UNSW, alongside studies in Theater Studies at Yale University and affiliate law at UCL.
