Laban Simbeye

Laban Simbeye serves as the Acting Director of Executive Support and Chief of Staff at the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) since May 2013, advising the Chief Executive and overseeing strategic deliverables. Previous roles at ZRA include Assistant Director of Statistics, Data Management, and Analytics, and Project Manager for data-related initiatives. Simbeye also contributes as the Network of Tax Organisations Coordinator for the African Tax Administration Forum since August 2023. Prior experience includes actuarial analysis at Madison Life Insurance Company Zambia Limited, economic development assistance at the Embassy of Japan, and business analysis at PwC. Educational credentials span a PhD in Economics from the University of Zambia, a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe, and various leadership and economics programs from prestigious institutions.
