Colin Adams

Colin Adams is an experienced professional in the field of physics and engineering, currently serving as the Head of FuZE Physics at Zap Energy since June 2023. Prior to this role, Adams held multiple academic positions at Virginia Tech, progressing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor from January 2015 to May 2024. Earlier experience includes being a Graduate Researcher and PhD Candidate at the University of New Mexico from August 2011 to January 2015, and a Postmaster's Researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory from July 2010 to August 2011. Adams began a career in engineering at Analytical Methods, Inc. as an Aeronautical Engineer from July 2007 to June 2010, and also completed a Systems Engineering Internship at Honeywell Aerospace from June 2006 to April 2007. Academically, Adams earned a PhD in Engineering from the University of New Mexico (2011-2015), an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington (2005-2009), and a BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington (2001-2005).
