David Bicknase, P.E. has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. David began their career in 2010 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines, where they designed experimental setups and presented successful results at a national conference. David also worked as a Teaching Assistant, supporting students and grading assignments in electromagnetism.

In 2013, Bicknase joined Golden Solar as a Summer Intern, gaining valuable experience in the field. David then returned to Colorado School of Mines as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on optical measurement techniques. During this time, they honed their skills in data collection and analysis.

In 2014, Bicknase joined URS Corporation, An AECOM Company, as an Electrical Engineering Intern V. David later transitioned to the role of Electrical Engineer EIT, where they contributed to various engineering projects.

Currently, Bicknase is employed at ZAP Engineering & Construction Services, Inc., where they hold multiple roles. As an Electrical Engineering Supervisor, they perform complex technical tasks, makes engineering decisions, and provides training to team members. David also serves as a Lead Electrical Engineer or project Engineer of Record as required. Previously, as an Electrical Engineer at ZAP, they trained team members in power system analyses and led electrical engineering projects.

David Bicknase, P.E. earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering Physics from the Colorado School of Mines, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, from 2013 to 2014.
