Wes Chu

Wes Chu has 7 years of experience in the Oil and Gas field. Wes worked as a Reservoir Engineer at iReservoir.com from July 2013 to October 2017. Their responsibilities included reservoir simulation, geo-modelling, well site engineering and design, equipment selection, and tank emission modelling. Wes used software such as Unisim/Hysys, Promax, Arrow, Excel, and Spotfire. Since October 2017, they have been working as a Process Engineer at ZAP Engineering & Construction Services, Inc. Wes is currently monitoring and managing the TEMS system with Occidental Petroleum, troubleshooting and investigating root causes for well site tank emissions in accordance with state and EPA regulations.

Wes Chu holds a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology, which was obtained from the University of Colorado Denver between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Wes Chu has earned several certifications. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Professional from the Six Sigma Global Institute. Wes also completed a certification program in Reservoir Geomechanics from Stanford University in the same year. Most recently, in November 2022, Wes Chu completed an Applied Data Science Program from MIT Professional Education.
