Chuanyu Zhou

Chuanyu Zhou has extensive experience in software engineering. Chuanyu began their career as a Software Engineer at Image Analysis Inc in 2004, where they developed a 3D CT image processing system based on Linux system. In 2007, they moved to Siemens Molecular Imaging as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2012, they joined Siemens Healthineers as a Staff Software Engineer, where they developed image reconstruction software for Siemens PET/CT and MR-PET scanners. Their duties included complex algorithm developments and implementations, code optimization and performance improvement, integration of prototype into product, design and test documentations, etc. In 2022, they joined ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc. as a Senior Algorithm Engineer.

Chuanyu Zhou obtained a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1996. Chuanyu then earned an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the same university in 1998. Following this, they pursued an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, which they completed in 2004. Chuanyu also obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Iowa State University in 2004.
