Yudong Cao

Yudong Cao is the CTO and founder of Zapata Computing. Yudong was previously a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University, working on topics related to quantum complexity theory with Daniel Nagaj. Prior to that, they were a visiting student at UC Berkeley, where they worked on topics related to quantum complexity theory with Daniel Nagaj. Yudong has also been a visiting student at the University of Waterloo, where they worked on simulating universal adiabatic quantum computation using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), and at the University of Southern California, where they worked on embedding an engineering problem onto the then D-Wave One processor. Yudong holds a PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University, and has also served as an undergraduate research assistant at the Birck Nanotechnology Center and a research assistant at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
