Sergio Neves

Sergio Neves has a diverse work experience in various industries. Sergio started their career as a Cabin Crew at Ryanair, where they performed safety procedures during flights and focused on in-flight sales. Sergio then worked as a Telecommunications Engineer at Wondercom, specializing in project management and telecommunications.

In 2016, Sergio joined THE SPITALFIELDS BARS COMPANY LIMITED as a Shift Manager. Sergio was responsible for staff handling, recruitment, cash management, stock controls, event planning, and infrastructure maintenance. Sergio started as a bar supervisor and was promoted to shift manager within the first year.

Sergio's passion for software development led him to pursue a career change. Sergio attended the Flatiron School, where they completed an immersive Software Development course. During this time, they gained expertise in full-stack web development, including languages and frameworks such as Ruby, Ruby-on-Rails, SQL, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS. Sergio completed over 300 projects, including personal projects that demonstrated their understanding of the curriculum.

After Flatiron School, Sergio worked as a Software Engineer Coach at Boolean UK, where they instructed students in software engineering. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Zappar, utilizing their skills and knowledge in software development.

Sergio Neves attended Flatiron School from 2018 to 2019, where they studied Full Stack Software Engineering. Before that, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Foundation degree in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Lisboa. Additionally, in August 2022, Sergio obtained a certification in "OWASP Top 10:2021 in NodeJS" from SecureFlag.
