Emma Fox has a diverse work experience. Emma started working as a Contact Ranger at False Cape State Park in 2014 and then moved on to become a Baker and Shop Employee at Sainsbury's. In 2016, they returned to False Cape State Park as a Contact Ranger, where they gained knowledge about park management and assisted with park maintenance. In 2017, Emma worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on computational biology for the CALeDNA Project. Emma collected samples, performed PCR, and developed training materials for machine learning analysis. From 2018 to 2021, Emma worked at Unioncrate as a Senior Data Scientist. Currently, they are employed at Zartico as a Data Scientist.

Emma Fox completed their Master's degree in Computational Methods in Ecology and Evolution from Imperial College London in 2017. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Edinburgh in 2016. In 2018, they also obtained a certification as a Data Science Fellowship Graduate from The Data Incubator.
